Christmas Holly Cookies
These beautiful Christmas cookies look as good as they taste!

What you'll need:
  • 1 bag M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 18-oz. roll store-bought refrigerated cookie dough
  • 1 16-oz. can vanilla frosting
  • Green food coloring
  • 2 cookie sheet pans
  • Resealable plastic bag
  • Small spatula or table knife
  • Large, round platter
  • Printable template (or holly leaf-shaped cookie cutter)
What to do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the cookie sheet pans with the parchment paper.
  2. Knead the flour into the cookie dough until smooth. Roll out the dough to a scant 1/4-inch thickness. Using the printable template, cut out 18 cookies, re-rolling the scraps if necessary. Transfer the cookies to the prepared cookie sheet pans.
  3. Bake for 12-17 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven, transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
  4. Spoon the frosting into a resealable plastic bag; snip a corner. Using the photo as a guide, pipe outlines on the cookies, then fill in the outlines with a tight zig-zag pattern. Spread the frosting with a small spatula or table knife on about half the cookies to make it smooth.
  5. Attach M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays on the cookies’ tops, placing 3 red candies as berries on the tips. Arrange the cookies on a serving platter, overlapping them slightly, in the shape of a wreath.
