Holiday Time Turtles
These chocolatey-chunky treats make a great little gift for co-workers, neighbors, or anyone!
Prep time: 30 min.
Difficulty: Easy
What you'll need:
- 1 bag MILKY WAY® Brand Miniatures, unwrapped and roughly chopped
- 1 bag DOVE® Brand Dark Chocolate, unwrapped
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk (approximately 1/2 14-oz can)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 2 cups shelled pecan pieces
What to do:
- Melt the MILKY WAY® Brand Miniatures, condensed milk and butter in top of a double boiler. Blend until smooth.
- Remove from heat and add nuts. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Freeze for 15 minutes.
- Chop the DOVE® Brand Dark Chocolate. Melt 2/3 of the chocolate in the top half of a double boiler. Once melted, remove top pan immediately from heat and add the remaining chocolate. Off the heat, stir until all the chocolate has melted.
- Using a fork, dip the MILKY WAY® mixture in the chocolate, one at a time.
- Place "turtles" on a tray lined with waxed paper and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes.
