REGAL INVITATIONS Use parchment or white paper to write all the party details. On the invitations, suggest the girls wear their fancy dresses. Roll each paper like a scroll and tie it closed with ribbon.

• Cover the entrance of the door with shimmering strands (found at the party store).
• Decorate the room with pink and purple inflated balloons, attached to the walls like piles of jewels.
• String several strands of icicle-white lights around the room.

MAKE A THRONE! Decorate an armchair with a fancy pillow and strands of satin ribbon. The birthday girl can sit in it during present-opening and cake-eating. And, all guests can have their picture taken on the royal seat too!

IMPERIAL ARRIVAL Have a decorated box (like a hat box) filled with costume jewelry and accessories from a toy, discount or dollar store. As soon as the girls arrive, send them over to the box to choose one or two pieces of jewelry to wear.
