Couture Cake

What you'll need:
  • 1 bag SNICKERS® Brand MINIS®
  • 1 bag M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies
  • 1 bag MILKY WAY® Brand Caramel MINIS®
  • 2 16-oz. boxes pound cake mix
  • 2 12-oz. cans whipped vanilla frosting
  • 1 16-oz. can chocolate frosting
  • 1 16-oz. can strawberry-mist frosting
  • Red food coloring
  • 3 chocolate licorice twists
  • 1 9 x 13-inch cake pan
  • Foil paper
  • 2 resealable plastic bags
  • Spatula
  • Ribbon pastry tip
  • Plain writing pastry tip
  • Printable template
What to do:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line the 9 x 13-inch cake pan with foil paper and grease.
  2. Roughly chop 2 cups of SNICKERS® Brand MINIS®. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions. Fold chopped SNICKERS® Brand MINIS® into the batter and transfer to prepared cake pan. Bake for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove from the oven, transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
  3. Cut the cake in half, making two equal rectangles 9 x 6.5 inches. Spread a thin layer of vanilla frosting on top of one half and sandwich the two halves. Use the printable template to cut the cake into a purse shape. Stand the cake up, use the photo as your guide. Tint the vanilla frosting a bright pink and frost the entire cake.
  4. Spoon 1/2 cup chocolate frosting into a resealable plastic bag fitted with a ribbon pastry tip and using the photograph as guide, pipe the lines on the outer edges of the cake. Attach yellow M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies along the chocolate lines.
  5. Fit the resealable bag with a small round pastry tip and pipe the stitches. Detail the pockets with an outside line of strawberry-mist frosting and an inside line of chocolate frosting. Place a MILKY WAY® Brand Caramel MINIS® as a buckle.
  6. Insert 1 toothpick at each end of the chocolate licorice twists and insert into the top of the cake as handle.
Tip: if you do not have a ribbon tip, use any pastry tip to detail the purse.
